Robert Wesley, Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, calls the possible forensic fingerprint analysis errors by examiner Marco Palacio a “black eye for all of us in the criminal justice system. Earlier this month, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office reassigned Palacio due to a report that found errors in his fingerprint work.
